TBTN (Take Back the Night)

SLESAC sponsors an annual social movement called "Take Back the Night." "Take Back the Night" March & Vigil is a public protest designed to bring awareness to ending violence against women. It serves as a means for women to unite and voice our desire to end the fear and perceived responsibility women experience when it comes to sexual assault, harassment, and other forms of violence.
 

WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES

A "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" Event is a playful opportunity for men to raise awareness in their community about the serious causes, effect and remediations to men's sexualized violence against women. There is an old saying: "You can't really understand another person's experience until you've walked a mile in their shoes." Men are asked to literally walk one mile in women's high-heeled shoes and it gets the community to talk about something that is really difficult to talk about.
